The Church family was here from Texas visiting Allison's family for Thanksgiving! I have a special place in my heart for sessions for out-of-town families. I get to show them the gorgeous state I live in and see these places through their eyes. I live here and see things here all the time, but those visiting have a special wonder in their eyes for our incredible mountains, big skies, snow, and adventure! These true Texans toughed out a chilly November evening with no complaints and were rewarded with one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen at Mesa Overlook.

One of their now-grown children attends college in Denver, so this time was extra-sweet for them being reunited for the holidays! We had the pleasure of including their adorable dog in their family photos as well! In a short time we were able to get so many wonderful photos of this family - them all together, mom and dad together, and the siblings together and individually. Mesa Overlook offers a variety of awesome backgrounds including Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, and Cheyenne Mountain to the south.
