From the beginning, Jada made it clear that she wanted to go somewhere unique for her senior session in the Colorado Springs area.

I always get excited when a client wants to try something new! That means, I get to try something new as well. :) Jada had so many fantastic ideas for unique spots around Colorado Springs for her senior photos. It was tough to narrow it down, but when she landed on Miramont Castle I was stoked! I'd never even been there. I've driven by it dozens of times, always wanted to check it out. Jada and her sweet mom checked it out a couple of days before the session and knew it was the perfect spot. Even though it was a new spot for me, they trusted me to know how and where to find the best spots and light and bring Jada's vision to life (and it helped she took a few photos and shared them with me!).

Jada showed up with her volleyball uniform from Rampart High School, where she has spent the past few years killing it on the court - she and her sister have both been active in competitive volleyball for years, taking after their parents who are also both very athletic! She also brought and wore a stunning formal dress that made her look like a princess with her castle; and the perfect fall casual outfit to show off her fun-loving and studious side as we ended her session with a few book-themed photos (a girl after my heart!). I mayyyy have gone a little overboard on time and photo count on this session because we were just having too much fun trying new spots and fun poses and Jada was up for pretty much anything and everything! Miramont Castle has SO much to offer, too, and we took full advantage. A beautiful autumn sunset and the brilliant changing foliage of the surrounding trees and vines on the stone walls, along with the cawing of the crows and cool fall breeze, set the perfect mood for this Manitou Springs session.

Jada, thank you so much for trusting me with your senior photos! I'm so pleased I got to meet you and your mom and explore Miramont Castle together. It was a joy to bring your senior session vision to life! I hope the rest of your senior year goes AMAZING and keep enjoying volleyball!
